5 good habits to help maintain emotional balance
Here are five things you can do to keep it that way.
—01.
Cultivate your spirituality.
Regardless of our beliefs, we have a spiritual nature.
Connecting to our spiritual dimension allows us to elevate our spirit, to claim our true essence, to reconnect with the Creative Source of the universe.
—02.
List and focus on the daily blessings available to us.
Make a list of the good things that happen to us in everyday life helps us -at first- to materialize what we don’t usually notice: the graces we receive. Then, reviewing them, we realize that there are far more of them than we think. This exercise enables us to broaden our vision of the positive and put the negative into perspective.
—03.
Nourish the spirit of the beauty that nature, the arts, music offer us ...
Let yourself be captivated by the beauty of simple everyday things such as a sunset, birdsong, the sound of rain, a beautiful landscape, a beautiful song, the smiles we encounter… increases our level of dopamine, also known as “the hormone of happiness”.
—04.
Letting go of situations beyond our scope.
Focusing on events that don’t depend directly on us is a deceptive exercise, because it gives us the feeling of fighting for noble causes against an external danger, while at the same time giving us the feeling of belonging to something greater. However, the result will always be the same because we do not have control of the situation, nor have we ever had it.
So we end up physically and emotionally exhausted, with the added feeling of having suffered, powerless, the will of others.
—05.
Improve your immediate world.
Let’s focus on our own world, on situations where we have the upper hand, where we are the protagonists. The best way to take charge of our lives is to make the necessary changes so that our daily lives resemble those we aspire to. Let’s make it better and make our immediate world our refuge, our bubble.
